ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WJW) — Firefighters are currently on the scene of a fire at the Rocky River Brewing Company in Rocky River.
First responders were called to the Center Ridge Road property after a call came in around 11:15 a.m. reporting a fire had broken out.
Rocky River Fire Department Fire Chief Aaron Leonhart spoke with reporters Tuesday afternoon, saying that two firefighters were injured in the blaze and taken to the hospital.
Leonhart said the fire was burning for over an hour at the top of the building, but that it is now out. Fire crews from all over the west side were called to help, and the state fire marshal is also investigating.
The popular brewery posted to Facebook on Tuesday, thanking everyone for their support:
Our hearts are heavy today, but more than anything, we are grateful. Grateful that everyone is safe. Grateful for the outpouring of love from our friends, family, and community.
A sincere thank you to the incredible firefighters and first responders who acted so quickly and bravely.
The extent of the damage is not yet known. The road in front of the brewery was closed to the public.
