PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A three-car crash on Thursday afternoon resulted in the deaths of 2 girls, Oregon State Police say.
The girls were ages 12 and 15.
The crash took place on Hwy 101 in Clatsop County near milepost 27.
Investigators say that a person driving a Toyota Tacoma crossed into the northbound lane and struck a northbound Honda CRV.
“The Honda was pushed to the northbound shoulder while the Toyota continued in the northbound lane and struck a northbound Nissan Rogue,” OSP said.
All three drivers were hospitalized with serious injuries. The two girls, who were passengers in the Nissan, were declared dead at the scene. Another passenger in the Nissan also had serious injuries.
