(FOX40.COM) — Large quantities of drugs, firearms and cash were seized during a street-level drug activity operation, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The temporary team, known as the Central Narcotics Enforcement Team, worked to identify and stop street-level drug activity during an operation that took place from April 23 to May 30.
“This operation addressed street-level drug activity helping to keep our neighborhoods safe,” said Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester. “We’re committed to using focused strategies and strong partnerships to protect our community and preserve the vibrant atmosphere of our city.”
According to police, 24 people were arrested, and more arrests are anticipated.
Drugs, firearms and cash were seized, including:
- Over 2,700 grams of cocaine
- 6,000 fentanyl pills
- 311 grams of heroin
- 260 grams of ketamine
- Over 200 grams of ecstasy
- 17 ounces of Dimethyltryptamine (DMT)
- Nearly 2 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
- 20 Adderall pills
- More than 4 pounds of methamphetamine
- More than $31,500 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales
- Three rifles and one handgun
The results were announced by the SPD, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.
