RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The CBS 17 Storm Team issued an Alert Day for Thursday, July 10, 2025, due to the threat of excessive rainfall that could produce flooding. The severe risk has been lowered to a level 1. Isolated damaging wind gusts could still cause trees to come down in areas with saturated soils.

The highest threat from Thursday’s storms will be flash flooding around creeks, streams, and rivers already swollen from days of rain. A Flood Watch includes all of central NC through Thursday night. An additional 1″ of rain is possible.

Scattered thunderstorms with gusty winds and isolated flooding are also possible on Thursday. Stay weather aware through the end of the week with the CBS 17 Storm Team.
