VINEYARD, Utah (ABC4) — Search and rescue crews were able to locate and recover the body of a missing man on Utah lake early Monday morning, the Utah County Sheriff’s office confirmed.
According to officials, a 23-year-old man was last seen near the Lindon Marina while riding on a WaveRunner with his cousin. The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
At around 1 a.m. on Monday, search and rescue crews with the Utah County Sheriff’s office confirmed they located his body in about 8 feet of water.
“This is a tragic and unfortunate ending to the course of events from yesterday. We would like to extend our condolences to the family,” the Sheriff’s office said in a statement.
