Cable Fire in San Bernardino prompts mandatory evacuation orders

Firefighters in San Bernardino County are battling a 13-acre wildfire threatening at least one structure and prompted mandatory evacuations.

The Cable Fire was first reported at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Martin Ranch Road in San Bernardino, according to Cal Fire.

Fire officials said the blaze, which was moving at a rapid rate of spread, started transitioning from grass to heavier brush just before 4 p.m., prompting officials to request an additional eight fire engines to aid in the fight.
