Car destroyed by fireworks in South Weber

SOUTH WEBER, Utah (ABC4) — A vehicle was destroyed by fireworks in South Weber on the 4th of July, according to the South Weber Fire Dept.

Crews were called to a “well-involved vehicle fire” Friday night, July 4. Fire officials said the incident was caused by fireworks.

“Just a reminder that fireworks maintain their heat for quite a while after they’ve been shot,” South Weber Fire posted on social media. “Please make sure to place garbage cans with fireworks on the curb until the following morning.”

Fire officials said quick action from their crews kept the fire from spreading to a nearby structure.

“Mutual aid from Clinton City Fire Department, Hill AFB Fire & Emergency Services, Roy City Fire & Rescue, Weber Fire District, We appreciate the help!” South Weber Fire stated.
