Celebrate 4th of July with events throughout Sacramento region

(FOX40.COM) — Fourth of July is right around the corner, and the Sacramento region has events for the community to enjoy.

Athletics vs Giants Fireworks at Sutter Park

This year, Sutter Health Park announced there will be no Fourth of the Field event due to a packed baseball schedule.

However, residents can still have a good time as the Rivercats host the Reno Aces from July 2 to July 3, followed by a 10-minute postgame fireworks show on Thursday.

The Athletics will then host the San Francisco Giants from July 4 to July 6. A 10-minute fireworks show will be featured again on Independence Day following the game.

4th of July Sacramento Cruises

City Cruises is hosting multiple Fourth of July events that include food and drinks.

Sacramento 4th of July Sights & Sips Cruise is holding two cruises with the first boarding at 2:30 p.m. and running from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The second cruise boards at 5:30 p.m. and takes place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Prices begin at $43.

Meanwhile, City Cruises is holding an additional 4th of July Rock the Yacht Cruise.

Boarding begins at 8 p.m., with the event beginning at 8:30 and ending at 10 p.m.

Prices begin at $197.

Organizers said guests should meet up at the L Street Dock on 1207 Front Street all both events.

Each event includes a full bar, live DJ entertainment and a scenic Sacramento River view.

Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Celebration

Rancho Cordova is having a two-day event in celebration of the Fourth of July, with carnival rides, concerts and fireworks.

The celebration takes place at the Hagan Community Park on 2197 Chase Drive.

On July 3 and July 4, at 4 p.m., the gates open to the Hagan community.

From 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., carnival rides will be available for guests to enjoy. At 8 p.m., concert performances will begin, and at 9:45 p.m., the fireworks will be set off.

On Friday at 9 a.m., the All-American Fun Run will take place on Coloma Road, followed by the Fourth of July Parade in the same area.

Entry tickets are $5 online and $10 at the gate. Parking is $10.

One-day unlimited ride wristbands are $30 when purchased in advance through July 2. Wristbands will cost $40 when purchased at the gate.

4th of July in Elk Grove

Elk Grove is celebrating the 4th of July with its annual Salute to the Red, White, and Blue event, as the city also celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The event will feature a variety of vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, roaming performers and a fireworks display.

The celebration begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. at the Elk Grove Park on 9950 Elk Grove Florin Road.

2025 Fourth of July in Davis

The City of Davis is celebrating the Fourth of July with a fun zone, live music and fireworks.

The free event takes place from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Community Park on 203 East 14th Street.

From 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. guests can purchase snacks and treats from local non-profit groups.

Meanwhile, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., there will be a free game zone that was coordinated by Discovery Christian Church.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the event will feature live music by multiple bands. At 9:35, a 15-minute fireworks display will be showcased.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to ride a bike or walk to the event if possible, since parking will be limited, organizers said.

The off-leash dog area in the park will be closed off for the Fourth of July celebration hours.

4th of July Parade in Downtown Stockton

Stockton is planning an almost full day celebration of Independence Day with a parade, a festival and fireworks.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. and starts at DeCarli Plaza. The parade will then head north on El Dorado Street to Oak Street. It will then turn west on Oak Street to Center Street, then eventually south on Center Street to Weber Avenue.

The festival begins at 5 p.m. at Weber Point Events Center, and the fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m.

Bradshaw Animal Shelter 4th of July

The Bradshaw Animal Shelter is asking for the community’s help in comforting the animals at the shelter who may be frightened by the noise of the fireworks.

“We’re seeking compassionate community members to spend time with our shelter pets while the nearby fireworks displays and neighborhood celebrations begin to blast,” said officials.

People can sing, read or play soothing instruments to the dogs, cats and bunnies in the kennel. Organizers said participants will “leave with a full heart.”

Participants can sign up for either 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the scheduling website Bradshaw posted.

Celebrate the 4th of July in Roseville

The City of Roseville is celebrating the Fourth of July with a parade that begins at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Vernon Drive, Riverside Avenue and Douglas Boulevard.

Following the parade at 10 a.m., attendees can enjoy activities at Royer Park.

Gates open at the All American Raceway around 4 p.m., where guests can enjoy games and concessions.

Fireworks begin between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

There is no entrance fee, but parking is $15.
