BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A dead woman, along with about 80 dogs, was found in a Brooklyn home Thursday morning, police sources said.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 2780 East 66th Street in the Mill Basin neighborhood at 6:43 a.m. A 73-year-old female was found on the ground and was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the NYPD Emergency Service Unit, and animal control were called to safely remove the dogs from the home.
The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.
The woman’s identity has not been released. An investigation remains ongoing.
