DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A fire has started at another Durham structure Saturday morning, this one in north Durham at an apartment complex.
Multiple fire engines reported to SoHo Apartment Homes on Chalk Level Road around 9 a.m. Ladders surrounded an apartment building in the back of the complex.
CBS 17 was on the scene where crews were still managing smoke from the roof and working to clear up the area.
Residents of the apartment complex were also on scene, according to a CBS 17 crew member, where smoke was seeping through one of the second-floor units.
No word yet on any injuries or displacements as of Saturday morning. CBS 17 reached out to the Durham Fire Department for more information.
Just hours prior, firefighters battled a fire at a townhome in east Durham on Castle Loch Lane, where a townhome had significant damage and two families were displaced.
This is a developing story.
