(KRON) — An evacuation warning was issued Monday afternoon for Diablo residents due to a wildfire, according to an alert from the Contra Costa County Community Warning System (CoCoCWS). Residents between Blackhawk Road and Green Valley Trail in Diablo should “prepare to evacuate.”
As of 1:55 p.m., the evacuation warning has been lifted. “Please feel free to resume normal activities,” CoCoCWS said.
The location of the fire was reported by county officials to be on the 2300 block of Alameda Diablo near Kay’s Trail.

“You should prepare now in case an evacuation is ordered,” county officials said. “Gather any important items you could carry with you, including medications, baby supplies, money, important papers, and photos. Locate any pets or animals and be prepared to cage or leash them.”
