JOPLIN, Mo. – The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for relevant information related to the disappearance of a Missouri woman missing since 2018.
According to the FBI, Sarah Burton of Joplin, Missouri, was last seen on July 16, 2018, and reported missing a few days later by her mother. There have been no confirmed sightings or points of contact with her since her disappearance.
On Wednesday, the seven-year anniversary of Burton’s disappearance, the FBI announced it would offer a $5,000 reward for information that “leads to an arrest and conviction of individuals” connected with Burton’s disappearance.
Over the years, the FBI and Joplin police have received several tips, but none have led to Burton being found.
It remains unclear what exactly led up to Burton’s disappearance, but the FBI has classified the case as a “kidnapping/missing persons” investigation on the “most wanted” section of its website.
Burton was 28 years old when she went missing. She is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 170 pounds with light brown hair and blue eyes at the time of her disappearance.
Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Joplin Police Department at 417-623-3131 (ext. 440) or submit an anonymous tip to the FBI online.
