(WJW) — Sunday will be another hot and humid summer day. Highs on Sunday will be near or just above 90 degrees. Heat indices could be in the mid to upper 90s Sunday afternoon.

There will be no shortage of sunshine on Sunday. Anyone who is going to beat the heat at the pool or lake will want to wear sunscreen, expect a bit more chop on the water. The UV-Index on Sunday will be very high.

The Guardians will wrap up their 3-game series against the Detroit Tigers today. First pitch is scheduled for 1:40PM. Temperatures will be in the lower 90s throughout the game. Water and ice cream will help you stay cool in the stands!

A stray rain shower or downpour cannot be ruled out on Sunday. However, the higher chance of rain will likely stay just west of Northeast Ohio. Scattered downpours and storms will fire up along a slow-moving cold front across Northwest Ohio on Sunday. These downpours and storms will try to move into the area Sunday night.

More downpours and storms will fire up along the cold front on Monday. Any storms that develop could produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds on Monday.

The chance of rain will go down on Tuesday as the cold front drops south of the area. The front could wobble north and south midweek, which could lead to additional rain showers and storms.
