GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (KDAF) — Grand Prairie Premium Outlets is hosting Dunk a Cop on Thursday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Guests can join the Grand Prairie Police Department officers for a fun afternoon with complimentary treats, giveaways, games, and more.
Grand Prairie PD will be on-site raising funds for their Explorers Program, which is designed to provide young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competition, service and practical experiences. Many of the program’s alumni have successfully achieved careers in law enforcement, including seven current Grand Prairie PD officers. Shoppers will be given the opportunity to Dunk a Cop in the dunk tank upon donation to the Explorers Program. Several retailers are offering First Responder discounts on July 17, including Puma, J.Crew, Famous Footwear, Skechers, Hey Dude, Tommy Hilfiger, It’s Sugar, and Under Armour.
