(FOX40.COM) — A car crash in Yuba County on Friday evening left two people dead and several others injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Around 3:15 p.m., CHP responded to an area between Ramirez Road and Boyer Road for reports of a head-on crash. Both directions of Highway 70 were shut down for several hours.
As a result of the crash, CHP said two people died and four others were taken to the hospital with major injuries. Of the injured, two are children.
