(FOX40.COM) — Over the past three weeks, Intel has reported roughly 572 layoffs at its facility in Folsom, according to a state report.
In June, the chip maker filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) that it would be laying off 54 people in Sacramento County. Then last week, the company filed two more layoff notices, one for 174 employees and another for 344 employees.
The company also recently laid off 217 employees from other facilities across the state.
Last August, the Santa Clara-based company announced it would seek to lay off 15% of its workforce, approximately 15,000 workers.
Following that announcement, the Folsom campus cut 330 positions in November and March.
Last year, the company also announced it would also be selling its property in Folsom, which it has occupied since 1984, and leasing back the space it needs.
At the time, the company said it was looking to save $10 billion in 2025.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
