Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s political future is in the balance, after his Health Secretary Wes Streeting resigned from government.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has also announced he will try to run for Parliament, after another Labour MP said he’d resign to make way for him.
However – neither have officially triggered a leadership challenge – any MP challenging Starmer would need the backing of 81 Labour MPs.
