Man critically injured in Raleigh shooting; 3rd city shooting victim Saturday morning: Police

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Raleigh are investigating what led to a shooting at an apartment complex early Saturday morning in southwest Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers were called to a shooting just before 5 a.m. on Conifer Drive in the area of Parkwood Village Apartments.

Upon arrival, officers said they found one man in critical condition with injuries from the shooting. Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment.

This is the third shooting victim reported in Raleigh after a night of celebration for the 4th of July. Two other victims were shot downtown just hours apart from this one.

A spokesperson with the Raleigh Police Department said no suspect is in custody at this time from this shooting investigation.
