Man killed in DC shooting in Southeast

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man is dead after an overnight shooting in Southeast, D.C., and police are searching for a suspect.

Around 2 a.m. on Friday, D.C. police responded to the 4200 block of 4th Street, Southeast, for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a man who was unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police. DC Fire and EMS attempted life-saving measures before the victim was pronounced dead.

There is no lookout at this time.
