GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A Greenville woman is accused of leaving her infant child alone in a bathtub where he drowned.
22-year-old Randora Ashanti Burton was arrested Tuesday by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and charged with homicide by child abuse.
According to a warrant, Burton left her seven-month-old son in an upstairs bathtub with standing water while she was downstairs on June 26.
The warrant said that when Burton returned, she found the child unresponsive and then delayed calling 911.
According to SLED, they were asked to investigate by the Greenville Police Department.
Burton is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.
