New ‘Gay Prides of Portland’ crowned Sunday night

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Pride Northwest crowned three new ‘Gay Prides of Portland’ during their pageant Sunday night in the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in downtown Portland.

A total of 11 candidates showed off their best drag Sunday night to a packed room of pride supporters.

“With the times being so hard and everything going on out in the world, it’s beautiful to see the community come together and us getting this great visibility and the joy. Obviously seeing us all smile is great,” said Pride Northwest’s community outreach and events coordinator, Henry Felton.

The theme of the night was “Candyland: Taste the rainbow” where pageant condidates where judged on a theme look. Question and answer during the formal wear portion was also up for judgment along with the performers talent.

The night also took a moment to reflect on the reign of last year’s winners Nicole Onoscopi, Kherry O’Kay, and Cruz Daniels.

The new “Mr. Gay Pride of Portland 2025” is Austin Lindsey who shared great wardrobe and entertaining performance. The musical talent of Portland’s Piano Queen, Saint Syndrome, took home the title of “Miss Gay Pride of Portland 2025”. Finally, the “Mix Gay Pride of Portland 2025” went to the gravity defying Mister Missy.
