NEW YORK (PIX11) — On Wednesday, New York City will enter its third day of hot weather as a heatwave continues to bake the five boroughs. Other tri-state cities are also expected to experience fiery temperatures.
Central Park broke a 137-year-old record high temperature on Tuesday. Other cities like Newark, N.J., and Bridgeport, Conn., also experienced record-breaking temperatures according to the National Weather Service.
Heat indices are expected to peak at 97 to 102°F for much of the area on Wednesday. Some eastern coastal locations will see heat indices between 95°F and 100°F,” according to the National Weather Service.

- Danbury- 93 degrees Fahrenheit
