(FOX40.COM) — One person is dead in a multi-person overdose incident on Wednesday afternoon in Chico.

According to the Chico Police Department, the police and Fire Communications Center got an emergency call reporting that there had been possibly multiple overdoses near the 100 block of Silver Dollar Way at around 3:30 p.m.
CPD stated that the medics arrived on the scene and started to render aid. Officers supported the rescue efforts and started to secure the scene for medical personnel.
One of the parents was declared deceased at the scene, while two people were transported to a local medical facility for treatment and observation.
