OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — One person died early Tuesday morning after a fire sparked in an Ogden trailer park.
Ogden City Deputy Fire Chief Mike Slater said the fire department received the fire call just before 5:30 a.m. on July 15. When responders arrived, they found the trailer located near 1100 Wall Ave. with visible smoke and flames.
The team entered the trailer immediately and recovered the victim. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital for medical care but unfortunately passed away due to their injuries.
Slater told ABC4.com the fire was brought under control by responding firefighters and it did not spread in the trailer park.
It is currently unclear what sparked the fire, but the fire marshal is on scene and an investigation is ongoing. The fire is estimated to have caused $100,000 in damages.
