Texas rideshare users seek more support amid rising frustration

DALLAS (KDAF) — A new study reveals that Texans are increasingly turning to the internet for help with rideshare issues, placing the state among the top 10 nationwide for customer support-related searches.

According to research by Florida-based Blakeley Law Firm, Texas ranks 10th in the nation for the highest rate of rideshare users seeking support online. The study analyzed Google Keyword Planner data, tracking search trends for over 10 keywords related to “Uber Customer Support” and “Lyft Customer Support” across all 50 states.

Texans generated 274 support-related searches per 100,000 residents, a figure that’s nearly 1.5 times higher than the national average of 187. In total, the state recorded approximately 87,290 queries related to rideshare issues from a population of around 31,853,800, reflecting the growing frustrations of users navigating billing disputes, lost item claims, safety concerns, and more.

“Behind each search is a rider facing an unresolved issue,” a spokesperson for Blakeley Law Firm noted in the report. “The high concentration of support-related searches in Texas suggests deeper systemic concerns with how quickly and effectively these services respond to user needs.”

The findings indicate that as rideshare usage continues to grow, so does the demand for more responsive and transparent support systems. Experts suggest that companies like Uber and Lyft must step up their game in Texas by offering streamlined issue resolution, easier access to support channels, and better communication tools to rebuild trust with their riders.
