Trump Urges Tehran Evacuation as Explosions Rock Iranian Capital
By The Media Line Staff
President Donald Trump on Tuesday urged Iranian civilians to evacuate Tehran as Israeli airstrikes intensified across Iran, including near Tehran and around the Natanz nuclear facility. His warning came as Iranian media reported explosions in the eastern and southeastern parts of the capital and heavy anti-aircraft fire over several military sites.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign,” President Trump posted on Truth Social. “What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
A second post reinforced his stance: “AMERICA FIRST means many GREAT things, including the fact that IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Roughly 10 million people live in Tehran, with the wider metropolitan area home to nearly 17 million.
Israeli military officials confirmed late Tuesday that the Israeli Air Force had carried out precision strikes on several Iranian military installations in western Iran. The targets reportedly included stockpiles of surface-to-surface missiles, launch systems, and drone storage sites.
The Israeli operation follows weeks of escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, sparked by Iran’s support for armed groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, and concerns about Tehran’s advancing nuclear program. Iran is currently enriching uranium to 60%, approaching the 90% threshold needed for weapons-grade material.
While Iran has not publicly acknowledged casualties or damage from Tuesday’s strikes, footage circulated on state and social media appeared to show air defenses engaging targets across the country.
