Triple digit heat indices continue through much of work week

Saturday’s high temperatures hit 96 in St. Louis and humidity was high causing heat index readings well into the triple digits. Temperatures will again climb into the mid 90s for Sunday with heat indices reaching around 105 degrees.

The Extreme Heat Warning and Heat Advisory continue through at least Tuesday. Highs temperatures into the work week continue to hit the mid 90s.

On Tuesday there is a slight chance of a few showers or storms, but it does not look widespread or like it will be much of a factor to bring relief from the heat.

Wednesday and Thursday high temperatures still look to hold in the mid 90s with our upper-level ridge sticking around. It is likely that a heat advisory or at least a portion of it will be extended to cover this timeframe.

Spotty rain chances increase toward the end of the work week.
