GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Two people have died and one person has been arrested in connection to a boating collision on Lake Greenwood.
According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, on Sunday officers and investigators were called to the lake after an Alumacraft boat carrying five people was struck from behind by a Yamaha boat with two people on board.
Two people in the Alumacraft vehicle were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries and two others died as a result of the collision, according to SCDNR.
The operator of the Yamaha boat was arrested and charged with two counts of felony boating under the influence.
