On the 40th anniversary of the worst civilian nuclear disaster, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of "nuclear terrorism".
In a statement on the anniversary, Zelensky said Russian drones were routinely flying over the site of Chernobyl as it remains in an active war zone following Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Last year, Ukraine claimed a Russian drone had hit the dome covering reactor four, which still needs repairs to ensure future safety of the site.
