WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A Jeep was captured on video driving on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday evening, a park where people often walk to enjoy the nation’s monuments.
In the video, which has since widely circulated on social media, the driver of a black Jeep is seen racing around the National Mall, despite people sitting and walking in the area.
The United States Park Police told DC News Now that the driver was arrested and that the incident was not part of a larger event.
Police say no one was hurt.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, is set to appear in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
