Water gun fight leads to fatal shooting in the Bronx: sources

THE BRONX (PIX11) — A water gun fight at a park on Tuesday night turned deadly, as a teenager was fatally shot, law enforcement sources tell PIX11 News.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. near Sheridan Boulevard and East 173rd Street.

Responding officers located 17-year-old Darrell Harris with a gunshot wound to the head and the right arm, according to the NYPD.

Harris was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries, police say.

Investigations into the shooting are ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
