CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (WJW) – Crews will resume searching Sunday morning for a man and a 5-year-old whose kayak reportedly capsized Saturday evening in Cuyahoga Falls.
Dispatchers confirmed to FOX 8 News that the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department was called to an area on Front Street after hearing reports of the rescue in the area.
According to a press release from the Akron Police Department, the Akron Fire Dive Team was called to the scene just after 7:50 p.m. after it was reported that a man and a child were in the water after their kayak capsized near the Sheraton Heading.
As of 9:55 p.m., rescue efforts were suspended with plans for crews to return Sunday morning.
