PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The second and final day of the 2025 Waterfront Blues Festival brought throngs of people to downtown Portland under sun-drenched skies to hear a number of bands in a great setting.
Over the years, organizers with the Waterfront Blues Festival said they’ve raised “over $10 million for local community partners.”
This year, there is a $5 raffle, with proceeds going to Meals on Wheels and the Jeremy Wilson Foundation to support musicians. Among the prizes are two round-trip airline tickets. People can even enter the raffle even if they’re not at the Blues Fest.
“I think it’s been one of the most important events of the year for us,” Jeremy Wilson told KOIN 6 News. “And really getting the word out about that. There’s an organization in Oregon that helps and is a safety net for musicians and their dependents when they are experiencing health emergencies.”
The Blues Fest will run until about 11 p.m. Saturday. If you’re coming down, bring your ticket, a valid ID, a low lawn chair and sunscreen. Don’t bring wagons, oversized blankets or coolers.
KOIN 6 News will have more information later in the night.
KOIN 6 and Portland’s CW are media partners for the Waterfront Blues Festival.
