PELHAM PARKWAY, the Bronx (PIX11) — A 77-year-old woman was beaten to death in a Bronx home Monday, police said.
Authorities found the unconscious woman with head injuries in the house near Barnes and Brady avenues in Pelham Parkway at around 7:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The woman was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, police said. She has not been identified.
Authorities are investigating the assault as a homicide.
No other information was immediately available.
