The man who police allege shot and killed a democratic state politician and injured another in Minnesota has reportedly been taken into custody. The Associated Press says a law enforcement official told them 57- year-old Vance Boelter has been detained. It’s alleged Boelter shot and killed former house speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband in their home, in what’s been described as an act of targeted political violence. Police say he also shot and injured a democratic senator and his wife in their home, about 15kms away.
