Peter Ryan shares his highs and lows from 45 years in journalism | The Business | ABC NEWS

From Daily Mirror copy boy to ABC Washington bureau chief and later business editor, Peter Ryan’s career has spanned it all. But after 45 years in journalism, ill health has forced Peter to hang up the microphone and retire from the ABC.
He sat down to speak with one of his successors as business editor, Michael Janda, to look back at some of the highlights, which include his time in the US, meeting Bill Clinton, winning a Walkley Award for his expose of the Commonwealth Bank, which helped to spark a banking royal commission. Michael also spoke to Peter about his passion, the Beatles.
