Tasmania is now likely to hold a snap state election with the premier previously stating he would call one upon losing the vote, and if Labor can’t form a minority government.
The motion was moved by Tasmanian Labor leader Dean Winter who cited growing state debt and plans to cut public sector jobs as the reasons for having no confidence in Mr Rockliff’s leadership.
