ASELSAN Presents Latest Naval Defense Systems at IDEF 2025

The Turkish company ASELSAN presented a new generation of naval technologies at the IDEF 2025 international defense exhibition in Istanbul.

The new products include the DERİNGÖZ autonomous underwater vehicle, the GÖKSUR VLS advanced short-range air defense missile system, and the CENK 4D multifunctional radar with a dual-axis AESA array.

The company positions these solutions as key elements of an integrated defense architecture capable of providing multi-level protection in the underwater, surface and air environments.

DERİNGÖZ is an autonomous underwater vehicle designed for reconnaissance, surveillance and mine countermeasures operations.

Thanks to its autonomous navigation and long battery life, it can operate effectively in harsh marine environments without operator intervention.

The GÖKSUR VLS air defense system provides high-precision protection against low-flying threats such as cruise missiles, drones and fast aircraft. It uses artificial intelligence to control fire, which allows for the simultaneous detection and destruction of multiple targets in real time.

The CENK 4D radar, equipped with a dual-axis AESA phased array, is the “eye” of naval defense.

The system is capable of continuously tracking hundreds of air and surface targets, providing operators with full situational awareness even in difficult weather conditions.

During the presentation ceremony, ASELSAN’s CEO emphasized that the new systems are designed to meet the needs of current and future maritime operations.

“At IDEF 2025, we are proud to showcase our innovative solutions aimed at ensuring sustainable, adaptive and integrated defense. They strengthen the capabilities of the navies of both Turkey and partner countries,” he said.

According to the director, the company will continue to develop advanced systems to meet the growing challenges in maritime security.

The IDEF 2025 exhibition was a platform where ASELSAN once again confirmed its leadership in defense technology and commitment to the development of modern naval infrastructure. Recently, NATO has engaged Turkish ASELSAN to develop the alliance’s air defense.
