Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Paris to join discussions with the so-called Coalition of the Willing leaders, including European officials and U.S. envoys. The talks focus on providing robust security guarantees for Ukraine as the deal to end Russia’s nearly four-year full-scale invasion is "90% ready."
“European solidarity and respect for the integrity of European states are fundamental issues” said Polish PM Donald Tusk while on his way to the meeting in Paris. The Polish leader said that Denmark can count on European solidarity over Greenland, adding that NATO members should not attack or threaten each other – this statement coming after recent comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump following Washington’s intervention in Venezuela last weekend.
European leaders have expressed support for Denmark and Greenland in a joint Tuesday statement, saying the Arctic island belongs to its people. It comes in the wake of the weekend raid by U.S. forces that deposed Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro – and Donald Trump’s subsequent repetition of his desire to take control of the Danish territory.
