Russia launched a massive 24-hour attack on Ukraine, including on the capital, Kyiv, where four people were killed, including a 12-year-old boy.
Across Ukraine, at least 23 people were killed, and over 130 were wounded. Ukraine’s Air Force said about 95% of the 703 drones and missiles were intercepted.
On Thursday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received the International Four Freedoms Award in the Netherlands, also honoring the Ukrainian people.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones struck Russian military targets and oil infrastructure in the occupied territories and in the Russian city of Tuapse.
The EU is expected to provide €2.7 billion to Ukraine after recent reforms, according to the bloc’s enlargement commissioner Marta Kos.
