Drone Attack Sparks Fire at Taman Port Tank Farm

Ukrainian strike drones attacked the area of the seaport of Taman in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, causing a fire.

The Operational Headquarters – Krasnodar Krai reported the attack.

According to officials, a drone fell onto the grounds of a local industrial facility, triggering a fire.

Satellite data from NASA FIRMS shows the fire occurred directly within the port area, near fuel storage tanks alongside railway tracks.

The fire was detected at 02:54 a.m., while official reports began appearing at 03:31 a.m. The Crimean Wind Telegram channel also reported that residents heard jet-like drones flying over the Kerch Strait.

In the settlement of Volna, one of the key logistics facilities of Russia’s fuel and energy sector on the Black Sea is located.

This refers to the terminal of Tamanneftegas (part of the OTEKO group), which operates at the Port of Taman near Cape Zhelezny Rog.

This facility plays an important role in supporting Russian oil exports and the logistics of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, given its proximity to the Crimean Bridge and the occupied peninsula.

According to available information, the terminal has a capacity of approximately 19.9 million tons of oil and petroleum products per year.

The facility’s tank farm for storing petroleum products and liquefied gas has a total capacity of over 1 million cubic meters.

It should be noted that the port has not been targeted for the first time by Ukrainian drones. The last such attack occurred on February 15, 2026. As a result of that strike, a fire broke out, and damage was sustained both to the storage tanks themselves and to warehouses and terminals.

In addition, the port was attacked on January 21, 2026. At that time, drones struck the port’s tank farm.
