DRONES VIOLATED ESTONIAN AND LATVIAN AIRSPACE
A NATO military jet shot down a suspected Ukrainian drone over Estonia on Tuesday, the Baltic country said, the latest in a series of airspace violations in the region amid frequent Ukrainian attacks on Russia. Neighboring Latvia also issued a drone alert.
NATO DEBATES U.S. TROOP ROTATION
In Brussels, a high-profile meeting of the NATO Military Committee is underway, with defense chiefs of all member countries in attendance. Polish Chief of the General Staff, General Wiesław Kukuła, is scheduled to meet the U.S. and NATO commander in Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich, from whom he will likely seek clarification regarding U.S. troop rotation plans for Poland.
HUNGARY PM MAGYAR TO VISIT POLAND
Hungary’s new Prime Minister Péter Magyar is set to arrive in Poland on Tuesday, making his first official state visit since taking office. Following his party’s victory in April’s general election, Magyar announced that his first official trip would be to Poland.
