The Russian Defense Ministry reported that it shot down 85 drones overnight across Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Belgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, Volgograd, and Sverdlovsk oblasts, as well as in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
It is noted that the Voronezh region faced the heaviest assault, with 40 drones shot down. Another 20 aerial targets were neutralized over the Nizhny Novgorod region, while 10 were intercepted above Belgorod. In Kursk, defense forces downed six drones, followed by four in the Lipetsk region. Two unmanned aircraft were taken out over Volgograd and the Republic of Bashkortostan, and one more was intercepted above Saratov.
But explosions rocked a Russian ammunition facility in occupied Luhansk Oblast and several regions across Russia, media reported overnight on Nov. 4.
In Russia’s Volgograd Oblast, an electrical substation was damaged due to falling drone debris, Governor Andrey Bocharov claimed.
Explosions were reported by the independent outlet Astra in the Russian city of Lipetsk amid an air raid siren in the city.
The Russian city of Kstovo in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast was rocked by explosions amid similar blasts across Russia, the outlet reported, citing local residents. An oil refinery in Kstovo had also reportedly caught on fire amid the attack.
Elsewhere, explosions were reported at a petrochemical plant in Sterlitamak, a city in Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan.
