A large fire near Glasgow Central Station has triggered a major emergency response, with multiple fire engines and high-reach vehicles dispatched to the scene. The blaze reportedly started in a shop on nearby Union Street.
The station, one of the UK’s busiest rail hubs, has been closed until further notice while firefighters battle the flames. Crews are pumping water from the River Clyde as the fire spreads through surrounding Victorian buildings.
