Foreign ministers gather to reinforce support for Ukraine at NATO | Morning Report

Our stories today:

Hundreds of millions of euros were already pledged by Ukraine’s allies ahead of NATO’s foreign ministers meeting in Brussels on Wednesday, which is set to focus on maintaining support for Ukraine as it continues to fend off Russia’s invasion. Poland’s Foreign Minister Sikorski has said that Warsaw will pledge 100 million dollars for Ukraine.

Overnight into December 3, Ukraine performed a series of drone strikes on the Tambov region in Russia, sparking a fire at one of the fuel depots in the area. At the same time, the Russian army attacked Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving at least two people dead and three more wounded.

The parties of the talks were not able to reach a consensus on the peace negotiations, however the meeting was a constructive one – that is the opinion of Russian officials on the almost 5-hour-long meeting in Moscow. The meeting saw the U.S. delegation, including Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, disagree with Vladimir Putin and his aides over territorial concessions.
