The Amur small missile ship of the 22800 Karakurt project, which joined the Russian Black Sea Fleet in 2024, has been transferred to the Baltic Sea.
According to Russian media, the ship was moved through Russia’s inland waterways – from the Caspian Sea to Kronstadt near St. Petersburg.
Previously, the ship was based in one of the ports of the temporarily occupied Crimea and Novorossiysk, where it performed tasks as part of the Black Sea Fleet.
It was subsequently transferred to the Caspian Sea due to the threat of Ukrainian surface drones and missile attacks.
“The Amur belongs to a series of small Karakurt-type missile ships that have been under construction for the Russian Navy since 2015.
The ship was laid down in 2017 at the Zaliv shipyard in occupied Kerch and launched in late 2022.
Amur’s weapons include Kalibr cruise missiles, AK-176MA artillery system, and Pantsyr-M or Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile and gun system.
