Ghosts Unit Destroys Two An-26 Aircraft and Strikes Radar in Crimea

Strike drones of the Ghosts (Prymary) unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed two An-26 military transport aircraft in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) released video footage of the strike on the aircraft belonging to the Russian invaders.

In addition to the aircraft, Ukrainian drones also hit enemy radar stations on the peninsula.

The footage released by Ukrainian military intelligence captures strike drones sequentially hitting two An-26 aircraft at the airfield.

After being hit, the enemy aircraft burst into flames, which may indicate that the aircraft had been refueled and were actively used by the Russians.

Drone operators of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine also struck an enemy surface situation radar station and the MR-10M1 Mys M1 coastal radar station.

The losses inflicted by Ukrainian military intelligence on the Russian army in Crimea are recorded in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for September 24, 2025.

The An-26 is a multi-purpose transport aircraft used to transport cargo and personnel, deploy troops, and evacuate the wounded. It is capable of operating from various types of airfields.

Previously, strike drones of the Ghosts unit from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) targeted and hit two Russian Be-12 amphibious aircraft and one Mi-8 helicopter on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.

The Be-12 is an amphibious aircraft designed for long-duration patrol missions over seas and oceans. Thanks to its floats, the aircraft can land on water, which also allows it to be used as a rescue aircraft.

Soldiers from the Ghost unit use strike drones equipped with satellite communications, which allows them to strike important enemy targets with high precision and selectivity.
