Iran denies peace request, signals military retaliation | World News Tonight

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has denied reports that Tehran requested a ceasefire in its war with the United States and Israel. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Iran wanted a deal, but that the terms offered were not sufficient. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic has threatened retaliatory strikes across the Gulf following U.S. bombardment of Kharg Island, a major Iranian oil terminal.
