
At least five Ukrainian citizens, including three children, were killed in Iran’s missile strike on Israel late on 14 June, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
The victims died when a missile struck a residential building in Bat Yam, a southern suburb of Tel Aviv. Ukrainian officials say the identities of the children are still being verified.
Dozens killed or injured as missile hits residential area near Tel Aviv
Iran launched a large-scale missile barrage overnight on June 14–15, targeting multiple cities across Israel. According to The Times of Israel, citing emergency service Magen David Adom, at least 10 people were killed and over 245 injured. Six remain in critical condition.
In Bat Yam, a ballistic missile slammed into a multi-story apartment building, causing widespread destruction. Israeli outlet Yedioth Ahronoth reported six deaths at the scene, including two children. Rescue efforts continue, with at least 20 residents feared trapped beneath the rubble. A total of 61 buildings were damaged; six are considered beyond repair.
Separate strike kills family of four in northern Israel
In the northern Israeli city of Tamra, a predominantly Arab Muslim community, four members of the same family were killed in a separate strike.
As of the morning of 15 June, the confirmed death toll from Iran’s missile attack stands at 10. Authorities warn that the number may rise as rescue and recovery operations continue.
