The Israel Defense Forces have released details about large-scale airstrikes carried out last night on strategic facilities inside Iran’s capital Tehran, which are considered the “core” of Iran’s military-industrial complex. According to IDF’s statement, one of the targets was a factory used to cast and fill warheads with explosives of ballistic missiles intended for launch at the State of Israel. The IDF stated that the purpose of these strikes was to significantly degrade Iran’s missile capabilities for an extended period. Other destroyed military target is ballistic missile facility which is the primary production site, where missile bodies are manufactured and fitted with explosive warheads, was disabled. A research and development complex for components for advanced weapons and a site for the production of components for ballistic missiles was also hit yesterday. Also hit was anti-tank and short-range missile center, which focused on research and mass production of anti-tank missiles and small surface-to-air missiles. At the same time, the IDF continued to attack the fire systems in Tehran, including launch sites and anti-aircraft missile launching sites. Air defense positions were also targeted. Anti-aircraft missile systems and launchers that attempted to intercept Israeli aircraft were located and destroyed during the operation. Military analysts describe the strikes around Tehran as one of the most severe blows to Iran’s military industry in recent years. In particular, heavy damage to roughly 40 facilities involved in producing rocket engines and components has significantly reduced Iran’s ability to supply weapons to its regional allies, including Hezbollah and the Houthis. Israeli officials stated that the operation was successfully completed and that all aircraft returned safely without losses. Meanwhile, large fires continue to burn at military sites in Tehran, and the area has reportedly been fully secured by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, known as IRGC. The IDF added that over the last 24 hours, Israeli forces have reported killing dozens of militants who were detected while attempting to carry out ambushes in southern Lebanon. In one instance, a fighter armed with a rocket-propelled grenade was spotted preparing to launch an attack but was neutralized before he could fire. Additionally, troops detained a Hezbollah-affiliated individual who had been monitoring Israeli military positions. The suspect was taken into custody and handed over for further questioning
